Ballina Skatepark

This is a popular place for scooter riders. The Ballina Skatepark is a good size with a mix of elements from small to large. Beginners through to Pro will find lines that suit.

Ballina Skatepark Elements

Starting off with the three back to back bowls. That’s a straight line double spine into an extension, talk about flow. The first of the bowls is halfpipe in style with a rounded top. It starts off at 3 foot and descended to 4 and 5 feet. This bowl then has a thin spine leading into a 4 foot rounded corner bowl with a hip out. There’s also a dual bank heading down from the top and a bit of a platform. Another spine leads into a 4 foot round bowl with a 5 foot extension. The 2nd and 3rd bowls spine into a flat top volcano. All three bowls have metal coping all round.

The fourth bowl is the big one. It has a unique shape and at it’s deepest is around 8 1/2 foot. There’s a tight 7 foot hip before the deep and the shallow is more square. There’s metal coping all round and a range of heights and a few hips.

Plenty of other elements can be found around the skatepark as well. These include a low half pyramid with hubba and wall. A flat bank with a ledge top. There’s a few large banks, one with a concrete traffic barrier extension. There’s heaps of straight and curved grind boxes, banks with euro gaps, rails, hubbas and space.

What’s Around

There is a large shelter where you can watch all the action. There’s also water, amenities and a playground. Parking is available and you enter the car park further down off Kingsford Smith Drive. It can get pretty busy at times so you may have to park at a distance. There’s not much close by in the way of shops so bring your own food and drink.
