Redcliffe Skatepark

Redcliffe Skatepark is close to the Redcliffe Peninsula in Brisbane’s north on the corner of Oxley and Anzac Avenues. Whilst there’s trains running out there now, its still several km’s from Rothwell train station to the park. But if you do come by train, there’s still bus services running near the station over to the park.

Redcliffe Skatepark Highlights

What stands out straight away when you arrive is how large and expansive the park is. It must be about 100 metres long and 50 metres wide roughly. Plenty of space to roll out on the flat. There’s a great pyramid featured in the centre about 4 foot high with transitions on all four sides.

On the park entry side there’s plenty of banks and quarters to work with that are around the perimeter. Also check out the concrete mini bowl near the shaded seating. This one’s quite shallow like 2 foot. You can practise a lot of tricks like tailwhips and stalls. Get them down and take them out onto the larger quarters.

At the far end of the park is a long U shaped quarter, almost like a half bowl really. This is a good section of the park to ride end to end like a half pipe. It’s about 5 foot at its tallest. Like all the ramps at this relatively new park, its smooth and the metal coping goes well. There’s some shade provided and plenty of shops nearby too. This is a really good spot to ride, make a day of it!
