One of the keys with Bri Flips is having the time to make the entire rotation. Starting off on the flat seems like a good place to learn, but you’ll need to bunny hop high and spin fast. For more air and time you can try it off flyboxes or dropping off ledges. We’ve add video and tips so you can start learning how to bri flip on a scooter.
If you get it down, video it and tag us. And for the tip today we’ve chosen a video by Claudius Vertesi.
Step by Step Bri Flip on a Scooter
Stance: It can help to start with your feet a bit further back than normal on the deck. This helps with kicking the scooter out from underneath you.
- Kick the scooter out in front of you pulling upwards with your hands.
- As the scooter is coming up turn the bars 90 degrees inwards.
- Rotate the scooter in a round circle above your head. This is done to one side of your body, frontside is easiest to land for most.
- Keep the bars turned during the rotation until just before you land.
- Land on the deck and roll away.
Tips: Try to keep the circle rotation compact, don’t spin the scooter in a big wide loop way over your head. The faster and tighter the rotation the easier it is.
