Scooter Comps set to resume in 2021

ASA 2021 Announcement

The ASA (Australasian Scooter Association) has released a statement relating to upcoming Scooter Comps. And whilst nothing is set in stone, they are looking to get the 2021 season going in February next year.

With the season having been formally suspended since April 27, it will come as welcome news to riders looking to get back out and shred it with the best. With two qualifiers in each state as well as state titles on the cards, there’s something to look forward to.

It does come with a condition though, and that’s that all states have lifted their restrictions by then. This is to give all scooter riders from around the country the opportunity to compete on a level playing field. With COVID rules changing from one day to the next, there’s no guarantees we’ll see all the restrictions lifted by then. But let’s hope for the sake of all riders, sponsors and businesses in Australia that they are.

If you’re looking to compete in ASA Scooter Comps in the 2021 season, membership costs are as follows:

All Riders (except Pro Men): $120
Pro Men: $200

Membership is set to open in November for the February restart, but we would recommend you hold off until such time that the events are highly likely to go ahead as scheduled and are fully planned.

When things do get cranked up and the event details start flowing, you can be sure we’ll keep you up to date and informed with the Pro Scooter Events Calendar. It’s your one stop shop to find all upcoming events including workshops, comps, lessons and camps.

In the meantime, why not check out some new skateparks in your area with the Pro Scooter Skatepark guide. We’ve visited the majority of them ourselves and give you the inside scoop on what’s worth visiting.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
