Sunshine Beach Skatepark

Sunshine Beach Skatepark is next door to the Noosa Aquatic Centre off Ben Lexcen Drive.  This is the place to ride in the Noosa area.  Its easily one of the best parks in the larger Sunshine Coast area.

Sunshine Beach Skatepark Features

When you first walk in you’re greeted by a monster grey metal half pipe with its blue painted metal frame, trim, stairs and rails.  It looks 11 foot high and with about half a foot of vert.  It sits adjacent to the main concrete park area that offers plenty of features.  The main centre street section gets a lot of attention.  Use the continuous quarter lines the far end of the park to get your speed up, then grind the ledge upside down V shaped concrete ledge, or the sloped rail further in the centre.

On the right side of the park there are the two metal coping bowls which ride fast.  One is a rectangular shape mini bowl about 3 foot that opens out to the centre flat area.  The larger pill shaped bowl beside it is around 5 foot deep.  Its given an extra height section thanks to the corner grind box built onto the deck.  The far end goes the highest with a raised curved section like a half cradle that’s built for some serious airs if you’re game.
