Springfield Skatepark

The Springfield Skatepark is medium in size with a neat setup for scooters. There’s both a bowl and half pipe as well as a good street section.

Springfield Skatepark Elements

At the back of the park is where you’ll find the bigger transitions. There’s a 6 foot concrete halfpipe with metal coping. One side has a long ledge with coping on the platform set back around 1 foot. The half pipe joins a round bowl of the same height with metal coping all round. Both sides of the bowl have hips out.

The main street section has one side lined with assorted banks and quarter pipes. It ranges in height from around 2 foot to 4 foot and has a wide platform running across the top. There’s a few hips and transfers on this side and metal coping across most.

The centre of the section has a cool fun box. It starts with a small 2 foot tabletop. It then has a spine ramp with metal coping running across and down to the ground. The spine widens as as the transitions extend further apart. These turn into a full length hubba. It steps down to another wide launch pad with flat down rail. It steps down again to a smaller launch pad and manual pad. There’s also a few flat rails on the flatland.

The other side is made up of quarters and banks designed for approaching the fun box.

What’s Around

There’s assorted seats and shelters around where you can view the action. There’s parking on the side of the road of Bob Gibbs Park or in the shopping centre next door.
