Sippy Downs Skatepark is a fun small sized street park that you wouldn’t know is there if you weren’t looking for it. The park is tucked away in a park amongst the residential neighbourhood near the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Sippy Downs Skatepark Features
As mentioned this park is on the smaller side, but still with a few fun things to ride. The main attraction is the 4 foot quarter, well actually two of them joined at an angle. So it makes the quarter quite wide about 4-5 metres across. On the quarter and other elements in the park you can see some painted and resurfaced areas. Its a pretty smooth roll for the most part.
Down the other end you can use the bank about the same height to get your speed up on the flat. There’s a small double kicker on the right side. You can launch over it in either direction, or grind the ledge next to it. On the other side there’s also a 2-3 foot curved quarter. One side of the other angled quarter points in its direction for an approach. Rounding out the park is a grind box on the walkway into the park. Not too bad for a neighbourhood park.
