Rampattak Geebung is a massive indoor skate, scooter and bmx park in the norther suburb of Geebung. It’s pretty handy close by to Sunshine Railway Station just a few hundred metres. For a 3 hour session you’ll pay about $15 or a couple of dollars less if you buy a yearly membership. It’ll also get you discounts on scooter gear sold at the counter. There’s actually a good range of scooters and other gear at Rampattak.
Rampattak Geebung Highlights
There’s a lot to ride here. As you walk in there’s a fun street section with plenty of quarters, banks and funboxes. Good runs and lines to try with that funbox in the middle. To the left is a shallow mini trick bowl which is fun to muck around on. On the right side of the park there’s the wooden bowl. Well, actually everything is wooden here it’s ply all the way. Then a half pipe with an almost vert wall to above and behind the coping to plant off. In the back right corner is the biggest half pipe there its about 7 foot high. The transition is almost vert and also features a roll in and a vert wall.
Almost forgot to mention the other fun stuff like the foam pit! You can launch into using a quarter, with a steep bank run up for speed. Of course the name of the game is to get some serious airtime and do some flips or something. Takes about 5 minutes to crawl out, and you’re mum will hate you when it comes to washing your clothes.
You’ll want to check Rampattak online to double check sessions. Most of them are mixed (meaning skaters, scooter riders and bmx), but check scooter / skate only sessions etc. so you don’t get caught out.
