Paddington Skatepark

It seems just about everyone who rides scooters knows about Paddington Skatepark. It’s near Suncorp Stadium. Plenty of public transport options. There’s trains and buses very close by, and it’s not far from the city. Its been there for many years. A street park that used to also have a large concrete half pipe. But that’s all gone now since the recent upgrades and the park reopened at the start of the year. Another skate park that’s been upgraded by Convic and its nice. The fast new concrete surfaces are great to roll on and lots to work with.

Paddington Skatepark Highlights

There’s a square shape bowl about 5 foot high as you enter the park from the tennis courts side. That’s on the left side and has a quarter backing onto it that takes you out to some ledges and rails. The surfaces are so fast though if you’re getting serious air you’d want a helmet for this one.  At the far end you can approach the U shaped quarter about six foot with the roll in in the centre. This is at the end where the old bitumen half pipe used to be. The right side of the park has good lines to ride. The right side fun box has a good combo of sloped and flat rails. Same goes for ledge which has the edges metal capped.
