Oxenford Skate Ramp

Oxenford Skate Ramp is just down the road from the Pacific Pines Skate Park. Unlike its neighbour you’d be lucky to find more than 5 people riding here at any one time.

Oxenford Skate Ramp Elements

The ramp was put in place only a few years ago to replace the existing mini park. It is a double halfpipe with spine. One side is 5ft and so is the spine, whilst another transition is 6ft. A wall on the 5ft end is used by locals for footplants. The coping is metal and doesn’t sit out as far as many ramps so the kick is a little less. The surface is painted metal and gets very slippery with even the littlest bit of moisture. There’s also a large rounded rail and the area is surrounded by concrete.

What’s at Oxenford?

The ramp is visible from Binstead Way and is on the border between Maudsland, Pacific Pines and Oxenford. There’s a small dirt bike track which is often used for remote control cars. There’s also a walking track, wide open parkland, toilets, seating area and playground. You’ll find a few car parks and you can also park in front of the park fence if it’s busy. There’s no shade around the ramp till the afternoon.

Biggest issue you’ll have here is not from other riders. It’s the amount of kids and parents on foot that see the ramp as a playground.
