Morayfield Skatepark

Morayfield Skatepark is in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane, close to Caboolture about 45km north of the city.  Travelling by train is probably the best public transport option. Morayfield train station is only a few hundred metres away from the park.

MORAYFIELD SKATEPARK FEATURES

It’s hard to think of any other large sized skate parks in Brisbane that packs in as many features as Morayfield Skate Park. There’s so much to ride here. Most of the quarters that surround the middle section and the centre funbox are relatively smooth concrete. The flats and some of the surrounding sections like the concrete half pipe are a bit rougher to ride. The street section at the carpark end is lots of fun with banks, and a middle quarter leading onto a funbox with sloped and flat grind rail. There are metal capped sloped and flat ledges either side.

This adjoins the middle section which is the larger and main area of the park. Its lined with continuous quarters in a W shape forming a spine that leads out into the centre flat. There’s a concrete half pipe with two height sections, about 4 foot and 5 foot each near the sheltered tables. The centre feature is a very wide funbox with curved transitions on all four sides great to tail whip over. There’s a shallow half pipe built in the centre of a medium sized bank at the far end, and it’s also a good approach back to the centre funbox. Also if you would like to have a go at launching yourself into some serious airs, have a ride on the massive 12 foot tall metal half pipe that has a foot of vert. Wear pads and a helmet for that beast!
