Forest Hill Skatepark

This is a small setup with a combination between street and transition. The Forest Hill Skatepark has nothing large in size so it’s good for beginners, but still a bit of fun for those more experienced.

Forest Hill Skatepark Elements

The park starts off with a wide dual bank with just a tiny hip in the middle. Each side gives a run up to a street element in the centre of the flatland. On one side there is a flat rail, the other a wide ledge. Down the back there’s a three foot half pipe. The transitions are mellow, almost bank like. It has metal coping and wide decks. Off one deck corner runs a down rail, euro gap, hubba and a flat bank. On the other side of the half pipe there’s a quarter pipe. It’s joins the half pipe at the corner creating a hip. It also has metal coping.

The bank and transitions have been painted making them a little slippery.

What’s Around

This is a small town but there’s a fair bit on offer next to the skate park. There are heaps of seats and shelters, BBQs, water and amenities. You’ll also find a playground and exercise equipment. Off street parking is through the gate on Railway St next to the SES. The nearest shops are across the railway line in the town proper.

The Forest Hill Skatepark is about halfway between Laidley Skatepark and Gatton Skatepark, so if you’re on the stretch between the two be sure to take a small detour and give it a whirl.

How good is Forest Hill Skatepark?

This park is small but fun. It’s not something you’d travel to for a day but worth a visit if you’re in the area or passing by. There really isn’t much in the way of reviews or comments about this skate park online and nothing in the way of videos either. You’ll need to decide for yourself from the photos if it’s something you want to ride.

The only comments of note were that the surrounds are loose bitumen and gravel. In the photos you’ll see that there’s a scattering of this on the flatland, so you may want to bring a broom with you.

Have you ridden here? If so add your thoughts, comments and a review to let other riders know how it rolls. It’s easy to do, just login and throw up a few choice words.
