Ferny Grove Skatepark

Tucked away in the leafy suburb of Ferny Grove in Brisbane’s inner north west is Ferny Grove Skatepark. This is a good spot, just off Samford Road in Bob Cassimaty park. Best thing is that it’s really close to Ferny Grove railway station.

Ferny Grove Skatepark Best Features

There’s basically two level height street sections and a bowl at the other end. Up on the higher end, at the park entry there’s a long flat rail, small transitioned bank and a ledge. Down another bank and you’re into the main section with a quarter to your left and a nice three step ledge. Up against the bowl at the far end is a 4-5 foot ramp. The bowl itself gets pretty tight transitioned at one end, but really fun up the other end. It has two heights and a small quarter up top that takes adantage of those two height levels. Plenty of nice metal pipe coping all around the bowl for grinds . It’s a good trainstion that appears to be about 4 foot high and 5 foot on the extension.

Since its at a public park there’s public toilets down at the other end of the park near the kids playground. No lighting at here and don’t think they’ll be installing any time soon, so make the most of the days. At least there’s good shade. Overall plenty of obstacles to work with and its setup nicely for end to end lines.
