Fairfield Skatepark

If you’re looking for a good scoot spot on the inner south of Brisbane, try Fairfield Skatepark. It’s definitely one of the better parks on offer that side of town. It’s easy enough to get to with Fairfield Train station close by.

Fairfield Skatepark Best Features

The middle street section features a good sized fun box, coupled with a sloped and flat ledge. There’s metal caps on the the ledge which makes for smooth grinds. On the far side you can attack the continuous quarters, and they have shorter and steeper transitions in the middle. There’s a lot of flat in the middle and the banks either end, in order to start your lines in either direction. It’s a good mix up with a clover shaped bowl that’s close to 6 foot at it’s deepest. This bowl does have a shallow section that leads into the deeper section, so that you can get some serious momentum.  That’s helpful for some serious airs and other tricks out of the bowl.

It’s a popular park with locals. There will likely be a lot of younger kids having a go on the weekends, but it’s definitely a quiet spot if you’re there on a weekday.
