The Deception Bay Skatepark is next door to the Aquatic and Fitness Centre. Take Bailey Rd off Deception Bay Rd and a right onto Maine Tce. There’s three main sets of lights positioned around the park so it should be pretty well lit up at night.
Deception Bay Skatepark Features
It’s quite a wide open expanse in the park, with plenty of centre flat surrounding the pyramid in the middle. It’s actually two pyramids together, one smaller without anything else added but the larger one has coping on the edges and a kinked rail. Plenty of curved concrete quarters, halves and banks line the edges of this park, with a roll in cut in the quarters at the back end. There’s also a really cool metal half pipe that’s in pretty good shape. It’s approximately 5 foot high and the transition is cut off before vert. Looks great for getting some decent airs and stalls.
