Deagon Skatepark

Deagon Skatepark is on the northside of Brisbane near the sports oval at Sandgate, off Board Street. The public transport options are good. You’ve got the bus stops on Board St close by, also there’s Sandgate Train Station only a few hundred metres down Rainbow Street. There’s several car parking spaces available as well, which is handy. Seems to be a popular spot for the locals particularly on the weekends.

Deagon Skatepark Features

The two main sections of the park are the kidney shaped bowl about 5 foot, and the centre street section. It’s in pretty good shape and has nice metal coping all around. From there, a decent sized bank backs onto the deck of the bowl, leading out into the centre flat. There’s no obstacles in the centre line, only the flat. The street side of the park has a funbox with a combination flat and sloped rail. On the other side its a similar setup, except that there’s a sloped and flat ledge instead of the rail. On the far end it finsihes off with a 4 foot quarter with metal coping.
