Pipe Dreamz Indoor Skatepark, on Crescent Road in Gympie would be the pick of the spots to ride in Gympie and the surrounding areas. It is a large private skate park indoors in a huge warehouse with lights since it is open some nights. Check their Facebook page to keep up with the opening times. Currently it advises only open Wednesday and Thursday 3pm – 10pm, and then on Sunday 9am – 3pm. Notably, in November 2017 it was the venue for one the Australian Scooter Association’s QLD qualifier competitions.
Pipe Dreamz Indoor Skatepark Features
All the ramps are wooden and sit on top of the large expanse of concrete flat. There are whole series of different height and width quarters at the back end. In the middle are two quarters back to back but with a about 2m platform in between. Next to it is the main funbox with the kinked rail and also a side ledge sloped as well on each end. Plenty of other small ramps, quarters, roll ins and ledges are positioned around the park as well.
