Pimpama skatepark is a standalone spine ramp. As it is just the halfpipe by itself, it doesn’t attract the crowds those nearby do.
Pimpama Skatepark Elements
The Pimpama spine ramp is two halfpipes back to back and joined by a spine and roll through. One side of the spine is thin, maybe 1/2 foot. There’s a roll through and the other side of the spine is wider at around 2 foot. The ramp itself is 4 foot high with a metal surface and coping. It is a smooth ramp to ride and the platforms are fairly wide. As it’s painted metal it can be extremely slippery with even the slightest bit of moisture.
What’s Around
It’s a bit out of the way so best to get here by car. There’s a car park next to the ramp and additional parking on the road side. There’s a few bench seats, drinking fountain and a small shelter. A dog park is just down the hill. There’s no shops close by so bring what you need. There’s also no amenities.
