The Jimboomba Skatepark is pretty small, even after an upgrade. It has a few sections that cater to different styles, including transition and street. The new sections added smooth concrete and are fast.
Jimboomba Skatepark Elements
The park starts off with a wide bank mainly used for gathering speed. At the top of one side it has a ledge built in. Down on the flat are a few street elements including a rail, double sided grind box, and launch pad with a flat down rail.
There is a concrete half pipe with curved hips out to the flat. On the other side it transitions down into a larger bowl with a rainbow extension. One side of the bowl hips out to the half pipe. The platforms are wide and come into play.
A new lower tier offers a small bank for speed heading towards 2 medium quarter pipes and one smaller. There’s a roll in in between the quarters. A set of 3 large wide stairs run down one side and head up to the bowl platform. There’s a little kicker heading out and a ledge that changes height as the bank drops away.
What’s Around
The skate park is just off Beaudesert Rd in Jimboomba and part a much larger park. There’s plenty of parking. There is a wide shelter and seats overlooking the skatepark. In the area there’s sporting fields, playgrounds and more. Nearest shops are up the hill in the main centre.
