The Helensvale Skatepark is popular with Scooter Riders, especially outside of school hours. The surface is a bit rough, and the transitions mild, so it keeps the skateboarders away. But it’s ok to ride on bigger wheels. This is a healthy size park with some good lines and some sick locals.
HELENSVALE SKATEPARK ELEMENTS
The skatepark has a range of elements ranging from 3ft transitions to 6ft. On one side you have mild transition quarters and banks at around 5ft and going down to 3-4ft. They sit out and transition at different spots. In the middle there’s a spine, one section thinner than the other. Then on the other side there’s 3-4ft mild quarters. In the middle of the park there’s a half pyramid fun box with a launch pad. There’s also a wedge ramp with rail. Moving around further there’s a 5ft cut circular bowl that tops out at 5ft. This concrete skate park is painted all round and has metal coping in most places. The platforms are wide and open.
